In 2010 Afriplex formulated and manufactured the extracts for 5 new sugar and preservative-free mineral-based functional beverages for Stream Drinks in Cape Town. The new product concept, which features a unique plunger cap, was recently awarded with a Showcase Award at the International Food and Drink Exhibition in March in London and has also been nominated as a finalist in 6 categories at the World Beverage Innovation Awards.

PRODUCTS SHINE AT NPC AWARDS DINNER

How proud we are that two out of three awards at the recent National Product Innovation awards dinner were developed by Afriplex! Stream Drinks, a funky new SA brand, took top honours and walked away with the coveted gold medal, while Woolworths achieved a bronze medal for their functional snack bar, Baobar.

AFRIPLEX’S EXTRACT IN EXCITING NEW YOGHURT LAUNCH

Just before 2011 drew to a close, Sonnendal Dairies kicked into high gear and launched their exciting new yoghurt range, Yotopia. Using a clever word play on ‘Utopia’, Sonnendal have indeed done the concept justice, both on the outside and on the inside of the tub. Afriplex, together with Nuberry, played an instrumental role in developing these new products.
